Performed on a Gibson Explorer with a Dirty Fingers pickup, Riffage: Metal’s phrases cover a huge variety of riffs, licks, and chugs recorded across three different tempos: 80, 120, and 160 BPM. However, phrases can be played at just about any tempo, without artifacts. Up to 46 phrases can be assigned to keyswitches (C1 through A4). Phrases include a variety of techniques, including harmonics, bends, mutes, and slides, from powerful slow chugs to high-intensity 16th note patterns, suitable for many kinds of metal genres. The library also comes with the option to simply drag and drop WAV files in your DAW. Though the breadth of the library is great, its searchability and easy browsing makes it a perfect partner for meeting tight production deadlines.

The stereo, double-tracked amped sound plugs right in to most professional metal productions. You can sculpt it further on our Console page, or build your own tone using the DI channel and our included Console FX: custom cabinets, dynamics, EQs, pedals, reverbs, and more. Console is our mixer, modular effects rack, and pedal board, designed to give you full control over your virtual guitar tone. Unlike our previous FX racks, which were limited to a small amount of preset modules, Console gives you 30 effects modules to choose from!

These include multiple EQs (digital and analog-style), compressors, spatial FX, modulation FX, amps, distortion pedals, reverbs, and a selection of over 30 custom cabinet IRs recorded just for Shreddage 3! These cabs cover all the most important sounds you would want, with both dynamic & condenser mics in multiple positions plus a ribbon mic for certain models.

Using Console, you can easily save and load FX chains or presets between projects or even different Impact Soundworks products. It also allows you to mix and blend between channels, with custom inserts on each if you’d like.

Patrick Windsor is a multi-instrumentalist who has performed, written, and recorded music in multiple genres for more than two decades. He has performed in the rock groups 48sin and Egostatic and the experimental rock band Tub Ring, performing around the Chicago area and finding track placement in TV shows such as “Californication.” He created the metal band Internal Empires, which played regionally in the Chicago area and shared the stage with such metal bands as Every Time I Die, Norma Jean, The Bled, and more.
